K-6 Fine Arts Presentation

For the second year in a row, the music teacher, the middle school art teacher, and I teamed up to put on a Fine Arts Presentation to showcase our amazing students' achievers in music and art.

We displayed at least one project per student, and all of the elementary artwork was curated by the students.

Since none of my art shows have ever been complete without some interactive element, the event also featured participatory projects by some students and a photo booth where folks could make their own accessories. The show was a hit, and the children had a great time showing off their work to friends and family.

I work with young artists in preschool and elementary school to help them develop artistic behaviors that will benefit them in any chosen discipline. Using the TAB (Teaching for Artistic Behavior) approach, students in my class practice working habits to foster creativity, persistence, and engagement. For more information on TAB, visit teachingforartisticbehavior.org.
